The design for this shirt was originally drawn byJames Sowerby in 1793 in "A Specimen of the Botany of New Holland" which was the first book ever published on the flora of Australia. The species here are Grevillea speciosa (front) and Grevillea buxifolia (back).
The fabric is a soft, durable and breathable cotton made by Gildan. The sort of cotton that feels good on the skin.
Direct-to-garment printing allows us to achieve the resolution required to do these illustrations justice. They are more susceptible to heat and we advise that you cold wash only to maintain the integrity of the image.
We recently changed supplier to adopt a higher resolution printing technology. The new shirts are "larger" cuts than the first series (designs by James Sowerby). Please see the different size charts below for reference:
